The Bath High School Interact Club is ready for the 2019-2020 school year!
The Interact Club is excited for another great year of community service. The club officers recently met and discussed their goals and objectives for this school year.

This year‘s officers are: President, Emily Vandemark, Vice President, Mallory Clark, Secretary, Abbie Dackin, and Treasurer Kalie Kitchen.

Abbie is the daughter of Lima Rotarian Rich Dackin, and Kalie is the daughter of Lima Rotarian, Joe Kitchen.

The club will meet every other Friday during the school year during what is referred to as “Wildcat Time” which is set aside for students to participate in clubs, activities, tutoring etc. The meetings last about 35 minutes.

The club has already conducted a few service projects, they assisted with new student registration and gave tours of the high school to incoming freshmen. They also helped out with the summer ACME baseball tournament at Bath. Earlier in the summer, we teamed up with UNOH Rotaract Club and helped out with their color run fundraiser at Ottawa Metro Park.

The club hosted a tailgate party for the community before the first home football game on August 30th. This project is underwritten by Union Chapel Missionary Church, and was attended by hundreds of people. Club members applied lots of Wildcat paw print tattoos to students in attendance! They were a big hit.

If we have enough interest, we plan to participate in the Ottawa River cleanup on September 7th.

Finally, the club is planning to participate in the 2019 Bath High School homecoming parade on September 25th at 7:00 PM at BHS.

As you can see, we are already off and running and are looking forward to a great year of service above self!
