Terri Kohlrieser is ready for Common Pleas Court.
We had a chance to meet our new Allen County Common Pleas Court judge Terri Kohlrieser at Rotary, Monday. Terri told us the inspirational story of her rise from poverty and abuse to the life she's always dreamed of. She told us that she always enjoys speaking to service clubs. "I was a person who needed the services of those like yourselves. People who choose to go above and beyond and take other people into consideration." Terri said that she quickly realized education was the key to her escape from poverty and she worked hard to put herself through law school. Terri takes office in January.

Also at Rotary, we were joined by members of the UNOH Rotaract Club who held a variety of fundraisers this fall and, as a result, were pleased to be able to present us with a $200 check for PolioPlus.

We also got an update on our $200,000 sanitation project in Honduras from Bob Ruehl. He told us that one lady commented that chicken tastes different since they got the new latrines. After pondering for a minute Bob realized that's because the chickens are no longer eating feces they've found on the ground. He also reported that MESA has made shipped medical supplies to Surinam, Belieze, Nigera, El Salvador, Honduras and Guatemala this year. And he says MESA is planning to have a mortgage burning for its warehouse in Fostoria in June.
