Call to Order Lesley Fry
President Lesley Fry called the meeting to order at 11:42 A.M. with the following board members present:
Lesley Fry, Demi Burden, Russ Decker, Katy Page, Richard Warren and Joel Mengerink. Also, Secretary Anne Decker and bookkeeper Amy Ricker were present.

Russ Decker made a motion to approve the minutes of the February 13, 2024 board meeting as submitted. Page seconded the motion. Board approved.
Attendance Report for February 2024
Five new members joined the club and two members resigned in February. February attendance was 39.596%. The month ended with 151 active members and 3 honorary members.

Annual Meeting
Agenda items for the annual meeting on April 29, 2024 were reviewed. Warren made a motion to approve five resolutions as follows to be presented at the meeting. Page seconded the motion. Board approved.

- Rotary Christmas Raffle & Auction $ 4,000 - Unrestricted
- Rotary Rex Perry Memorial Golf Outing $20,000 - Post-Secondary Scholarships
- Holiday Home Tour $10,000 - Unrestricted
- Rotary Rottery 50/50 Fundraiser $ 1,000 - Designated Charities
- Rotary International Polio Plus Campaign $ 3,000 - RI Polio Plus Fund
- Rotary Members’ Dues for Foundation $ 7,500 - Unrestricted

These are the projects the club deems important. The Lima Rotary Club recommends that they receive consideration by the Lima Rotary Foundation by way of a traditional grant application process. Amounts to be determined by organizational needs and the LRF.

Resolution #4 - 2024-2025 Rotary Club Community Service Activities
These are club service projects that benefit other organizations.

- Children’s Books to the Lima Public Library $ 0.00 ($500 donated in February 2023)
- Rotary 4 Way Speech & Essay Contest $ 1,200.00
Resolution #5 – Rescind Corporate Member Category
After research and consultation with representative members, a select committee appointed by the Board recommended ending the corporate membership category. The Board reviewed their findings and agreed a corporate membership category is no longer needed nor beneficial to the club.
Originally adopted to mitigate Rotary International attendance requirements no longer in effect, the category has inequities and requires administrative costs that complicate club operations. The Board encourages adoption of this resolution terminating the corporate membership category. If adopted, all corporate members will be transitioned to regular membership on June 30, 2024.

PolioPlus
$2,825 of the club’s $3,000 PolioPlus goal has been raised. This quarter’s Rottery proceeds and income from the apparel sale have not yet been included in the total and will take the club over its goal.

Rotary Night At The Lima Locos
The Lima Rotary Club will be a sponsor of the Lima Locos 2024 season at the $100 level that allows the club 50 passes.

The Spring Blood Clinic has been scheduled for May 4 from 6:30-9:30am at Senior Citizen Services.

The Bath High School Interact Club’s annual awards and presentation to the Lima Rotary Club will be May 13.

Russ Decker announced that three sponsors at $2,500 each have been secured for the Holiday Home Tour on December 1, 2024. One more sponsor is being sought, as are homes to be on the tour.

Treasurer’s Report Tracey Regula
Regula shared information from the Profit and Loss Statement and Balance Sheet. The club’s total income through January 31, 2024 is $84,541.89. Total expenses are $79,407.43. Net income is $4,993.89. Russ Decker moved to approve the Treasurer’s Report. Mengerink seconded the motion. Board approved.
